SPS question....

Hey reefers,

Since my migration over to SPS lots of reefers are lending me good advice. I appreciate all the help

So here comes another question:

With my corals being so high up on my tank almost at surface level, they will be exposed to air on my partial water change. The amount of time is about 4 minutes or so until I refill it.

Is that too long? Will they sustain damge long term, short term? I can drop it just a quarter without exposure but then I'd have to do water changes daily and I'm avoiding that.

Is there any advice out there on the common practices for my type of situation? All suggestions will be appreciated.

Mike, I have a couple of monitpora digitatas mounted at the top of the tank and about 1/2 of the coral gets exposed to air when I do my weekly 10% change. It doe4sn't bother them in the least. In fact, it's to the point now that about 5-6 of the branches are above the water line (just the tips so far) by the end of the day when it's time to top off with another 1/2 gallon of water.
