The tanks my neighbor gave me, had 2 pieces of LR. Both of which have these white tubes all over the outsides of them. Each one has a red feathery thing sticking out. Just curies if it's a good thing or bad. I cant get a good picture, they're pretty small. Any info would be helpfull thanks.

If they are red I'd say feather duster. I have some tiny red ones that just peek out of the end of their tubes and have never grown any bigger, not like the the ones with long fronds you buy in stores. If you wave your hand over them, or even let its shadow fall on them they will probably disappear in a flash.
