do you mean using that as your primary lighting?
If that is what you mean I dont think that that would be sufffecent lighting for a tank . For night viewing you would only need 2 or 3 blue leds

yeah using as primary light.

"...dont think that that would be sufffecent lighting... " why ?

i think the positive effect is no temerature problems + no differences in unlighted sections in my tank. i hope for more simillary light in the tank.

so i can do some other specials like simulate a sunrise, moon goes up or something.

its just an idea ...i got the stuff i need for cheap, much time and a little bit of the `now how.

Nope it won't work.

Wrong wavelenght of light for photosynthesis.
I've read reports that they're trying to come out with LED lamps that will be able to work as aquarium lights, but so far the few LED's that they've managed to create that do so are still rare/experimental, so also very expensive.

Maybe in a couple more years.

so i think i try to do a thing simillary like the picture...to simulate sunrise.

when my light starts early in the morning it is like a punch in my face when im sleeping :lighting

i want the leds starts slowly bevore the main light goes on.

big part white and for moonlight put some blue.

i report & document when i start.

peace
