Skirtless Zoanthids

So my stubborn zoanthids look like they're finally opening. However, it looks like it's not open all the way, or they are skirtless. Is there such a thing as a skirtless zoanthid? Will they grow it later or something?

I have never seen "skirtless" zoas, but i have seen some, especially like paly's that have little nubs all the way around the edge of each polyp as opposed to the extended "fingers" found on most skirts.

I would say give it some time, put them in an area where there is some current, and see how they look in a few days.

p.s... any pics?

Most zoos have a mind of their own. They are a good sign of some kind of water parameter going bad, when they don't open up.

When all conditions are good, these guys will begin to multiply like crazy.
