Six Line Wrasse

Hi Guys,

My Six Line Wrasse just started to nip at my Maroon Clown. I had them both in the same tank for over a month and they just started to fight today. Has any one had this problem before with a Six Line before?

I removed the Six Line for now but not too sure what to do.

Thanks,

Eric

if you can re-arrange some things, and then drop your six-line back in, it may confuse him enough so that he goes back to doing his own thing as opposed to bothering the maroon.

I did that with a bi-color blenny, and it worked wonders for me!

That kinda messes up their established/claimed territory and they have to start over. If the problem reoccurs you may have to trade one of the fish in or move them to another tank. Good luck

This isn't unusual, you've got two aggressive fish in the same tank. Which tank are they in? You would probably be better off deciding which one you like better and getting rid of the other, as Skip mentioned, because the aggression will continue.

Thanks guys,

They are in my 30G FOWLR. I moved the rock around and put the six line back in. They are not fighting right now but I will watch them over the weekend and see if the Six Line nips at my Maroon any more.

I just have been using a net to catch my 6 line, But he is kind of fast so it can be fun.

Thanks,

Eric
