hey,
i was just curious... i was looking at the memberlist and noticed that the site was started in february, then in april there was a huge member population boom. seems that everyday you got a few people and it grew from there. So i was wondering how you got so many people to join, or how you promoted so people saw the site?

Hi Wizord25,
Well I created the original layout and design of the site back in February and changed a lot of the functions of the forum so that it operated the way I wanted it to. I also added alot of functions and tweaked things here and there to make things run smoothly. I also had to figure out some details with my host such as bandwidth, emails, etc. When I was happy with things and with the help of my buddy Phischy (from this site), I released it and started 'spreading the word'. I've been a member at nano-reef and reefcentral for a few years so I got the word out initally through those avenues. Then I listed the site at www.aquarank.com and www.reefplaza.com for more exposure. Eventually, the site gained sponsorship and I've requested all those sites, such as Premium Aquatics, to post a banner or link for Nanotank.com. Many nice folks have included links to this site on their personal webpages. Things have basically just taken off from there. I've noticed a nice surge of new members in the last few months and we've received 45 new members this January alone. At this point, I would have to say a lot of it is word of mouth.

Thanks for having an interest. Let me know if this helped.
