I am feeding DT Live Marine Phytoplankton to my little reef because I have a featuer duster in there. (My tank is cycling.) Should I turn off the filter temporarily while the phtyoplankton is swirling around in the water? The directions for Marine Snow say to turn off the filter for about an hour after feeding (presumably so the food doesn't all end up in the filter sponge). Does the same thing apply to DT?

Yes, I think some reefers call that the 'soaking' method. I do it when I feed. I'd turn your filter off and maybe even one powerhead if you've got two in your tank just to let your corals absorb everything. After and hour or so, I'd turn everything back on.

You shouldn't feed phyto to a cycling tank. The mini duster will do fine without it. It's very rich food, and is likely to cause algae outbreaks.

After the tank is cycled you should definitely turn off the filters while feeding it.
