Scratch in new tank - Will it affect the integrity?

Stumped

I just picked up my new 24g Aquapod and discovered after taking it home that the piece of glass at the base has a scratch in it. This obviously will not affect the aesthetics of the tank, but I was wondering if this would affect the integrity of it. Will the tank be more prone to cracking as a result of this? or is it nothing I should worry about? The scratch is 6-7" long and you can run your finger and fingernail over it and "catch" it, it goes from the back part of the glass into the area with the pump and I'm presuming all the way to the corner.

thats a toss up.....50/50. if it where me i would return it and pick up a new one just to be on the safe side. it would really suck if you set it up and six months down the road it broke or started to leak.HTH

I agree with Erik, it could or couldn't effect it, hard to say. I'd play it safe and return it as well.

This may sound like a stupid question, but are you positive that it isnt a strand of silicone? I have had a hard time discerning the two before. If you are sure that it is a scratch, better be safe than sorry.
