scavengers dying? Corals not getting larger.

For some reason, the only thing I've had die in the 4months I've had my tank are all scavengers. I lost my mower blenny and my arrow crab. I did not feed them anything. I just assumed they got enough from algea, diatoms, worms etc. they both died after I installed my skimmer. Did they starve to death? I have two clowns, and two emerald crabs that are all fine.

Anyone have any ideas to stimulate growth of carpet and frilly mushrooms?

Hey,

The lawn mower blenny probably died from starvation, they need an enormous amount of food.
I dont know much about the arrow crab...

The skimmer might have removed the organic material that could have broken down, added nitrites to the system for the algae to grow....that might have contributed, but im not positive...

You can feed cylopeeze to the mushrooms to grow, or 10000k lighting would work too
