sand cleaning question (12gallon jbjNCdx

I am needing to pick up some snails to take care of minor algea and dirty sand..

Here are my tank specs

12 gallon JBJ nanocube deluxe
12-15 lbs of LR

I used LR and water from a 3 year old established reef tank so the cycle was small if there even was one.

Corals that came out of the LR and survived:
small pulstating xenia, 3 purple/blue mushrooms and green star polyps...
Hitchikers that came with the LR:
Tons of micro brittle stars, bristle worms and some type of bright purple nudi i think

I have added a pair of true clowns and a green bta. Yesterday I added a yellow watchman goby and a small conch to try to clean up my sand. (and i love the look of the yellow watchman goby)

My question is what are the best snails to take care of algea on the rock, acrylic and surface of sand? and how many of each for a 12 gallon?

BTW all I am adding after the snails are corals...

Pics to come!

Thanks,

Eddie

The lfs suggested turbo snails when I asked the same question. However, I don't seem to have any luck with them. I had 3 for my 24g aquapod and all but 1 seemed to have died. What I have in there now is 1 zebra turbo (who looks like it is on its last leg), 1 Margarita, and what I think is a nassarius but it was a hitch hiker from my lr. You also may want to consider getting those brittle stars out, they will get way too big for that tank and cause problems. To answer your question on how many you should add, I would go with no more than 2. Good luck and I hope this helps.
