Saddle Valentini Puffer?

Hi Guys,

I wanted to get a Saddle Valentini Puffer for one of my tanks. My LFS has one for cheep.

What kind of inverts would they eat? I have a few shrimp in my tank right now would I have to get rid of them?

These fish are known agressive that would pretty much require species only. They also require over filtering and possibly skimming . They will prey on all shrimps and crabs as well as most if not all of the snails they will require stuff with hard shells to trim their beaks (teeth) they also require soft sand not the live ag as they are a type of scaleless fish thus they can get abrasions on their skin fairly easy , and can get an infection relatively easy .. As with all puffers prestine water is a must . They will also enjoy plants to hide in as well . Hope this helps you some :mrgreen:

I think you are stuck with filters and manual cleaning with this kind of fish since he will eat any of our regular cleaners AFAIK.
