pump idea

okay im almost done with my stand for my 20L. i need some pump ideas. I got a free 10 gallon tank so my sump will be a 10 gallon and im not drilling it (that means internal pump most likely). My over flow box is 5x5x5 with a 1" bulkhead. Im looking at about 4 ft of head pressure. Im not keeping sps so i dont need really high flow.

Mag 5 or mag 7 should do, and they're relatively cheap.

Mag 5 will give you about 275-300 gph with that head loss and the 7 will be about 400-450 gph.

what flow should i be looking for? im going to keep hammers, frogspawn, BTA zoas, mushrooms, maybe a sps but only one or two. I plan on T-ing off my return and have the pipes on both sides of my overflow box.

If you're going to put a T in your return you'll have significantly less flow. An elbow or T drops your flow rate by nearly 10% for each one. I think the 7 would probably work better than the 5 with a T. Maybe even a mag 9, and just put ball valves on each side of the T, so you can vary the flow as needed.
