It opens when it is dark, and closes after a few minutes when light comes on and also closes (retracts the hairs/tentacles) when I move something close to it.
This is what it looks like after applying joes juice. I think the head disintegrated, but it looks like the stem/trunk is still there. I'll apply some more tommorow if the trunk is still there. The ph went up a little after adding the juice.
your pH will be fine, i would definitly try to inject JJ into the stem. it might take a bit to rid it from your tank. larger anenomes take a few more times. HTH
