Pictures of your LFS

I'd like to see pictures of LFS in your area. Of course with your LFS's permission. Pictures such as display and for sale tanks I think will help give an idea and possibly more knowledge for other local reefers in your area in selecting and finding better places to purchase equipment and livestock. Again please ask your LFS's permission to post pictures of there store first. I doubt that they would be against it because it would if anything bring more customers to their store but just be certain that they're okay with it. Please be sure to add the name and location of the pet store you are posting pictures for.

Here's an example:

The Great Bay Aquarium - San Lorenzo, CA

aquemeni5110,

I made a day going to all of the LFS and went to Great Bay. I was disappointed :!: Don't get me wrong, the place is a 360 on how nice the place looks but I was there for frags. I remember before thye looked nice they used to have tremendous amount of frags. Now it was more on the side of colonies and the prices were pretty high up there. Plus there wasn't any rare zoa/palys like before. I thought I heard they swtiched managment?
Anywas, so I was disappointed cause thats where I got great deals plus uncommon zoas. I had one last LFS that never let me down. New Alameda fish store. Steve always has rare zoas and was even known in Las Vegas cause I went on their reef forum! As usual he had 4 custom long tank with just zoas! Since 50% of my tank went down I had to treat myself. Got a frag of amor of gods, bam bams, pulsating xenia and some other palys and zoas. I was 50/50 on spending that much for AOG but as I look at them, I'm trully amazed how bright they are  I'm always look for more LFS that have rare items but at great prices..... Thanks for sharing the pics! Hope they get more frags as I was accustomed too.

islandcreation - Yes, they are under new management from what I was told. I never got to see the frags and zoa selections. I too am always looking for a great quality priced frag. Their display tank always has some rare items. What other pet shops did you stop at? I've been to one in Alemeda but I forgot what the name was. Do they sell some of ther corals on ebay? There's this alemeda named store the has auctions on eBay. Thanks for your input. I hope others will do the same when they post pictures of their LFS.

aquemeni5110, yeah Steve is the owner of New Alameda fish store. He does have items for sale on ebay too. Check out the website too. newalameda.com he's known for his zoa/paly's, I'm on his waiting list for the crazy daiseys and dark star. I have a meeting there tomorrow and may visit the store itself.

Just came back from Your Reef or yourreef.com and talked to John the owner. Wow, was I surprised! Great selections of SPS (specialized in SPS)and zoas.... He had common zoas fragged such as pink eyes, eyes of Ra, green people eaters, star polyp, red skirts, bam bams etc.... I guess I was looking for more exotics which he had too! I went there the day before where one of his workers was working, he stated he couldn't frag the lunar eclipse, blue tubbs, and pink spreckled polyps (everyone has diffrent names) which I didn't know the name. When I went there today John was there and I asked him if he could frag the lunar and the pink spreckled. He hesitated and finaly said okay since I lived 2 hours away and barely could frag anything off. Plus it helps when he's the owner
John is the owner and I recommend him to anyone looking for regular polyps to the exotics. I really wanted PPE and he said he used to have them but don't know what happened to them! Mabe next time. Another thing is that he gave a great deal, he generally counts larger heads polyp wise which is great if they have smaller heads growing for the buyer :!:
Check out his website and state Jason (islandcreation) from nanotank sent you. I'm sure he'll throw in something for you. So far he's been the best seller with an assortment! Don't want mention some names on where I ordered in the past that got great reviews from other. Then again some people are happy with regular zoas with little color. Best bets here! Just look at the setup!

WOW  Those are some great pictures you took! hope to check out that store real soon. Dang, probably won't be a while since I have to fix my nudi problem and well SPS I just don't think I'm ready for yet. I've spoke with John before online and he is a customer oriented person.

For some reason after reading yor post, I think you jinxed me. I'm beginning to have nudis everywhere! Now I'm looking for ways to kill these critters rather than doing a dip every week!
