Hey guys/gals:

I did my homework tonight and I found my results to what I was looking for. I have the pics of the two Red Sea pico tanks I'm interested in. I also have pics of what I've bought so far. Oh and before I continue...incysor thanks for your help and research, the links you gave me from the previous forum turned out to be the ones I was talking about.

First picture here is the Deco Art Aqua Vase "WAVE" by RedSea

Second picture is of the "Melody" version, which is my choice of the tank I want.

This is what I've bought so far at petsmart, as it was wayyy cheaper. by at least 10 to 15 dollars cheaper. (too bad they dont sell the redsea there) If I find no deal with no light in a store or online, I'll have to buy it at Tongs and hope 55 is the best price.

The three products I think I got it a good price, and the heater for the tank is 6 inches long, so I think it'll work out just fine. Now all I'll need is the tank, some live sand, live rock. I'll let you all know how things develop.

This is going to be a fun project. Might have to get one myself!

I'm on the hunt for a good little heater for my 5.5 gal. Let me know how you like that Marineland one you purchased. Might need to pick it up.

Do you have links to these versions. I don't think I've seen them.

Nice work dragon,

When we last spoke I was mentioning that you want to place a really small heater in your pico. If the one you purchased is too bulky try this one:

The price is great and it's really small, a new item out on the market.

Mike
That looks like a sweet little heater...I wonder why they don't make any of the small heaters adjustable? It seems like it wouldn't be that complicated.

they are on dr foster and smith as well, just go to glass desktop or however they word it, they are near the end of the pages, just enlarge the image and it gives you a few more, they dont sell the bridge version, i think its discontinued

Exiled,

Let me know if you find the bridge version anywhere. I looked all over for it, and couldn't find it, and I agree with you that it's very sweet looking.

bridge looks cool

Small pic, and I enlarged it, but it's just a regular rectangular tank right? Or was I missing something obvious? Well the treasure box looks cool too, it appears deeper. The one I'm getting the "melody" is available and I am going to pick it up today and get it together. I'm happy it's time to get it, I've been patiently waiting. I'll have it up before I hit Vegas on Thursday. I'll be back on Monday and catch up with everybody then.

hah if I could find it I would but it but i cant, no I think its wider at the bottom, I also just like the way it looks, like its demensions, treasure box it really nice, its a mini bow-front

Hey USP55, and welcome to Nanotank. I saw them at my LFS too, fully stocked with corals and what not, selling for about the same price, or more. I saw that and was like, I want one! I'd like to get a plastic lid for it though to help slow the evaporation rate though.

Dragon,

They sell plexi glass at home depot for about $4-$6 for a sheet that's probably 18"x24". It comes in 2-3 different thicknesses. All you need to do is lay the sheet over your tank, trace out the shape with a sharpie marker and then cut it out with dremel or small saw...For the really thin stuff a razor knife woul even work.
