The first pic is a freshwater shrimp. I don't have any freshwater tanks....Hence it's not a pic of something in my tanks....Rules of the contest state subjects from the photographers tank. :wink:

My sexy and harlequin shrimp came out like crazy today. I spent my lunch hour shooting hundreds of shots...Hopefully a bunch of them will turn out.

I thought about it, but most of the pics I had before with the harlequin were kinda boring. I took my camera to work with me every day, I even got in a fight with my wife because I wouldn't let her borrow it, but the sucker just wouldn't come out when I actually had the camera there. I thought about dumping a starfish in to get it to come out, but usually it just grabs it then goes back into it's hole, and then it REALLY won't come out. I knew that there were several people with sexys, so I was trying to throw something different in with the fire shrimp. So the contest finishes I feed the sucker the starfish, and it literally spends all day yesterday pulling it around the front of the tank from one side to the other. I took over 300 pics from about 11am to 4pm. I spent nearly the whole lunch hour taking pics. Damn I'm a geek. :lol:

My new avatar is from the movie Napoleon Dynamite. If you haven't seen it, you should.

It is one of the weirdest yet strangely entertaining movies I've ever seen. It doesn't really make you laugh..its more of a 'what the hell is this movie about' thing. Hard to explain.

Yeah, I have attempted to watch that movie twice. Once in vegas at night, (fell asleep somewhere in the middle of the movie)

I saw it again at a party, but with the music and people talking, I missed the middle and ending part. It seemed pretty funny, and that mexican dude reminds me of what my brother may have been like in high school, hahaha, j/p mikey.

I do like the line of

"who are you going to ask to the dance?"
"That girl over there"
"Whoah she's really hot, how you going to pull that off?"
"uhhh I dunno, probably build a cake or something"

I was rolling when i heard that, lol.

Not the best pic in the world, but I thought it was amusing...I think these are all regular cleaner shrimp.
