Okay fellow nanoers....here's some photos of my tank after 1.5 months. I hope they upload correctly, I am trying to use photobucket to load them.

Could you guys tell me if it looks decent? Can you identify the correct names for the corals and such? All seem to be doing well, but I am unsure of what the names for some of them are. This was right before bedtime, and the big mushroom in the middle right was shrinking down for bed, so it looks a bit shriveled. I know also I have 2 "bad" anenomes, that can be seen in one of the pics....any ideas on getting rid of them??

OH and don't mind the dirty glass! :)

I sorta forget to tell you what stock I have in it (alothough you can see it)...

AND...the tank has been running with items other than live rock for 1.5 months, all together, the tanks had water in it for almost 3 months.

I have a purple firefish, a regualr firefish, and a bi-color blenny (named LENNY ;-) )

I have about 5 snails (not sure what variety) and about 4 blue hermits. I do have 1 additional LARGE turbo snail (worried he might knock things over) that does well with the glass algae.

Other than that.....I have several coral frags I placed in the tank, all of which are growing rapidly. The leather has doubled his size quickly, and the green weedy stuff I have to literally prune once a week as to not crowd the little top corals.

SO, anything I shouldn't have, or could have, or do different?

Everything looks good! Great pics by the way. The sizing is perfect. You've really added alot in just over a month. I'd say slow down a little and just wait things out before moving new stuff in. You already have quite a high bioload with three fish. I like how you added the extra powerhead in the tank. Good idea.

Looks like xenia on the very back of the tank. I like that idea. Xenia just looks so cool when it grows on the backliek that. Just keep an eye on it b/c it will soon take over your tank if you let it. You should add the nanoskim attachment to your cube. It works wonders and is a nice addition for $20. It will also keep the surface nice and clean for better oxygen exchange.

Are the lights modded? I can't remember...
What are your temperatures at?

IM loving your tank doesnt look decent ....looks great   really pretty and love your blenny for sure always wanted one but my LFS dont carry them and well if you want to kill the anemone not sure witch one you got, rose anemone or aptasia ... just nuke them with JOE'S JUICE or hot water with lemon target it with a seringe and bye bye anemone......

The top plant is a Large Feather Caulerpa and the green plant bubble looking is a GRAPE CAULERPA.

.........REALLY REALLY LIKE YOUR TANK LOOKS DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS.....

Very nice tank...very natural, it doesnt look forced (if that makes sense). Keep an eye on that grape caulpera and slow down just a bit...it'll pay off.

Looks good so far. Take it slow as already mentioned, keep an eye on the caulerpas because they can take over if you don't keep them pruned. The big brown coral in front looks like a colt coral and they too are fast growers and can become dominating, the bright side is they produce tons of frags and can be fragged quite often.

The big rock in the center of the tank had the big coral in the front, the different caulerpas on it, some mushroom polyps, the pulsating xenia, and the little green stuff up top. I did however add the small rock with some mushrooms on it, the green wavy coral on the left side, and the little polyps (red ones) in the very middle.

For now, I am happy with it. How do you frag a coral like the big brown one? It's getting almost too huge.

Where do I find a nanoskim attachment that was mentioned above? I bought a fission skimmer, but thought that was a total waste of money! I will sell it if someone wants it (cheap...used for a week)!

Someone asked what my temp was...it's at 78.6 right now. I had major fluctuations with it when I first got it, the temp was stable at 82! After doing a few different things (and getting a digi thermometer for a more accurate reading) I think it is pretty good for this type of cube. I never seem to understand temps in reef tanks, as I am a avid diver, and the temps vary soooo much on the reefs. I am going diving this weekend in the keys...water temp 68! Cayman runs sometimes in the mid 80s!

I have not modded the lighting yet, but am looking into that with nano customs. I would like to pull the top off and maybe to metal halide, but, for now will look into better compact lighting. It also bugs me that there is no gradual wake up in the lighting....its like BAM high noon instantly.
