This is an Aiptasia Anemone, a frequently encountered pest in reef tanks. They are unattractive, reproduce easily, have powerful stinging, which can harm your corals. I would use a product called Joe’s Juice, which is very effective to control Aiptasia and Majano.

I also agree that it is an aiptasia and you need to get rid of it as soon as possible.

Yep thats aiptasia nuke it , you could also use boiling lemmon juce injected into it or boiling water . And it wont damage the tank or the inhibitants .This can be used if you cant find joes juice near you like we couldnt HTH :)

:sad: ok I guess its gotta go but its so cool to watch I wouldnt mind it being there but its on the same rock as my newest coral and would hate to lose that alrighty and I am sure sadie and them would be diappointed being thats where their frags are going to be coming from :D

Hahah...That reminds me. Steven, Eddie, anyone else who is local...next time you are at Tong's, look in the HOB fuge that is on the left side of the SPS frag tank. You will see an Aiptasia that has been there since I started shopping there over 2 years ago. It is giant.

i go every friday at tong's reefman23 to see the new frags ill check on the big aiptasia jesse... and like everyone said nuke it ... and joe's juice works like a charm...
