Newbie reefer with a 12g nancube DX

Wanna first introduce myself as a long time lurker and newbie reefer!

I have always tossed around the idea of a nano reef tank and found this site in the process but never pulled the plug......well, while at a friend LFS I was offered a deal on a 12g JBJ DX w/stand for a price that was too good to pass up so it came home with me.

Right now my plans are to fill it with LOTS of zoas and whatever I find that looks good but won't harm each other. I have no real plans for any fish but maybe a gobie or something so there's no problem there.

Here are my plans and where the questions come in....

I have upgraded the pump to a MJ900 and have been juggling either a sapphire skimmer or a fuge, plan on modding the old pump into the first chamber and routing it towards the front of the tank.

LIGHTING....the tank has 2x24 50/50 pc lighting but I have always been a fan of "Sun"-like lighting being a planted tank guy with lots of high-tech tanks I want to upgrade the lighting on this tank....with Nanotuners it has made finding the gear simple but which kit?

I have looked through lots of threads at multiple forums and found conflicting info....at first I though just add another 24w since it's just zoas which from what I read will burn if there is too much lighting....then I read that they look best in MH lighting so I am debating the 1x70mh+2x18w actinics.

I really want to go with the later since plans always change and I might want to try some more advanced corrals later on. So which should I go with? I can afford to go with either but what is better for the zoas?

Also all the LFS I talk to say to supplement a bit of trace/calcium/phytoplankton occasionally but some threads here say there is no need if you do weekly water changes, which I plan on doing but with pre-mix LFS saltwater to simplify things for me since this is not the only tank in the house that gets weekly water changes. So do I need to supplement anything? I have heard if good salts are used there is no need but I think most LFS here use coralife salts.

I have arag-alive pink fugi sand for it already and will be buying some live rock for the display later on this week. Is there anything else? What corrals will attack each other or which one's pose a threat to Zoas?

Thanks for any help that can be offered!

Well I went ahead and purchased the 70w mh 2x18 pc kit from nanotuners along with the ICA chiller so that answers that.
