Hi Everyone,
I have had several FW aquariums for about 3 years and have decided to try a small SW nano. The tank is 32 liters, it is going to be fish only. I have a built in top filter that also has a pump connected for good water flow. I have a built in fluro light on top. I bought some live rock on Staurday (4 days ago) and the tank has been cycling ever since. I had the water setup for about a day before adding the coral sand and live rock. The guy at the aquarium said i have to wait for the live rock to develop new algae before i add fish. Is that right? How long will that take? I have decided to get a single orange and white clownfish and maybe a couple of coral gobies (undecided). I have test kits for salinity, pH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. Any advice you have or tips would be much appreciated. Also a small piece of coral appears to be attached to the live rock. I don't know anything about coral, that is why I was not planning on getting it. It is a brown clour, it is small at the moment and when fully opened looks like a little palm tree.
Thanks in advance
