Well I been browsing for a couple of weeks, but didn't sign up for I am on 3 other boards already, but what the hey.

My anme is Nathan I go by Narkon on most boards, and the more is my wife. She normally only post on one board, but you never know, well actually you will know for she will put her name on the post.

I have a 29 gal which is doing good, it has been up since the end of July.
I have a TetraTec 500 on it for a refugium and don't suggest it to anyone else for it takes up to much real-a-state on the back glass, go with a AquaClear. For lights I am running a 150W DE MH 10K with 24" URI VHO super actinic 03, and a DIY led moonlights. Got lots of flow so it will be a SPS tank, with some LPS.

I came here from Marshreef.com the local Houston SW club.

I am setting up a 3 gal Eclipse, in which I have the sand, the rock and the water. I currently haven't changed the lights nor the filter, just took out the media in it. I plan on getting a small powerhead for more water movement.

So I will be looking for advice on lights, keep in mind that I don't want this to be to much modding the outside of the hood of the Eclipse 3 gal, which makes it very small space.

Nice BB you got here. :whoohoo:

Hey Nathan, making the rounds too, I see.

I like your sig line. I'm starting to get my wife a little more interested. She likes the goby, but other than that she calls it my therapy. I can't seem to keep plants alive, but flower animals seem to do OK.

My wife got into fish when we were keeping the freshwater tanks in college. Since then she has had an interest. So she was reluctant to get involved with the saltwater project for once she got started she would want more.

Now she is talking about us looking for a good used 75 or 120 tank next year, and in 10 years deciding if we are going to contunie to live in our current house, if we do, closing in the covered back patio and making it a fish room. (Yeah baby!)

But right now she has made up her mind on what she likes, the only problem with getting your wife into the hobby is it is no longer your decisions alone on what goes in the tank.

Hey Narkon'n'more and a warm welcome to Nanotank.com! :gh:
Glad to have another Houstonain on the boards. Your 3 gallon eclipse project sounds fun. Thats a bowfront right?

Yeah, I browse the boards over at Marshreef.com as well. Its fun to hear about the fragswaps and collecting trips, etc. Incysor, who is also on marshreef, is on these boards as well.

Yeah, I've got my girlfriend interested in reefkeeping also. It really helps to have her involved when you have to justify spending a bizallion dollars on something that you 'need' in your tank

Yeah, but then they learn what it is that you "need" and decide for themselves if they really feel you "need" it.

What name do you go by? Of course you figured out what name I go buy.
