Your FF and the plate are color coordinated. Cool!
Yeah, I was laughing as I was trying to take the pics to show Nathan and Stephanie how it looks in the tank cause the ff kept jumping in the way and throwing the camera off just as it was trying to focus. They almost never do that, but for some reason it kept messing with me last night.

Incysor,

Your fire fish, probably heard of DJ's January contest and thought you were taking auditions....

Too bad your FF doesn't realize that the auditions are for Shrooms only. :D

It looks greener than it ws in our tank.

Does it swell up at night?

The feeder tenacles use swell up at night, and it would get all fleshy.

really cool plate coral. What kind is that? has a lot of color to it? A night pic would be cool, especially if the tentacles swell up all nice :)

Regular short-tentacled plate. Fungia.

We've seen it swell a little bit at night. The brown/tan area appears to be fading, so more of the purple is visible. I'll try to get some pics tonight to compare with the others. If I notice it swelling after the lights go off I'll try to get a pic of that as well.

We had 7 of those moonlight leds on our 29 so it was never really "dark" in our tank. But it could definitely tell the difference between the leds and the VHO actinic.
