new lights

havent posted in a while but a update on my 20L i was running 110 watt pcs but now im up to 4 X 75 watt vhos. this baby glows! :shock:

its crappy but here is a full tank shot. as of now im having trouble with this tank my brain died over night and that brown jelly crap got my frogspawn. oh and my BTA is hiding underneath a rock.

oh that sucks.....wonder if it's a water quality issue. With new lights apparently it's not a light issue. If the BTA doesn't come out from under the rock, it'll die as well, and boy that wil lmake you pretty steamed. Best of luck.

With an upgrade in lights you need to be careful to shorten your photoperiods so things have a chance to adapt. Or put several sheets of plastic screen material over the top of the tank and over time take a layer of screen off every few days to a week, (depending on how much of an upgrade it is), until you've got them all removed. Othwise you're likely to burn your corals, and possibly have algae/diatom blooms.

lights been up for 4wks now. the BTA was in a 90 with 2 mhs lights so mine are brighter for say. i just started feeding it. the guy i got it from has had 2 anenomes for 5 years with 1 water change a year and never feeds. these 2 split about once a month. (andy off marshreef). im giving it a better tank but i dont know.
