New camera with great macro........

Okay, I'm looking for a camera the gives the best bang for the buck. I'm getting tired of moving all my corals next to the glass to take a great macro photo. So for all of the photographers can you direct me to a good camera. I know some of you have $1200 camera and it shows! But is there something that's half of the or even lower to get almost the same quality? Thanks

I would talk to Jesse, he has an awesome camera for macros, I believe it has a super macro feature. The price is unbelievable as are his fotos....

I came really close to purchasing it but I'm a Canon fanatic and got a great deal on the Canon SD 800IS....

definitely talk to as many people as you can........... remember though that a camera is only as good as the person behind it. The The Canon SD series are all great cameras. I have a 400 and my brother in law has the 600 and my father in law has the 800. funny how things work out. Anyway they have a great macro feature and an underwater setting that adjusts the color beautifully. you can get them pretty cheap online at places like overstock.com or amazon.

Right now I have a cannon SD630 elph. I can take micro shots pretty good if the corals are up to the glass. But at the same time when it comes to lighter pinks they always turn out grayish... Thanks everyone for the help.

I just got the canon 800is and its freaking awesome! The macro on it is amazing for a pointshoot camera.

It was purchased for the fiance cause I am getting a 30D but now I can't justify the 30D.
