This is my first saltwater tank





11.5lbs of live rock
10lbs of live sand

My plans are:
Ocellaris clownfish
Purple firefish
twin spot goby
Coral:
mushrooms
frogspwan?
and not sure what else any suggestions?

I got it on Friday and all levels are good. If my levels are good in the morning I get the clownfish tomorrow!!

You need to let the tank cycle before adding fish, you may find that it is fine now but then your nitrates will rise because of the live rock and immature system. I would give it a week, test the water and see how it goes before thinking about adding stuff.

P.s that tank looks nice.

the live rock comes from a mature system there will be no die off so the nitrate or nitrite spike will be very minimal if at all. Be tween that and the live sand I should be fine. I found a hitchhiker it seams to be a blue scallop it is about half an inch so i can't tell much about it.

I was lucky enough to get some shrooms on my LR but then they died when the nitrates spiked :cry:

Just added the clown will have pics tomorrow he seams to enjoy the current in the tank a lot more playful in the tank then in the store I hope he eats will find out in the morning.

I was given some redish brown shrooms with the water stable i thought what the heck and took them i will have to wait on the pics my camera batts went dead so i will have to wait till the morning to post the pics cause i cant take them. :sad: .By the way the fishes name is Siddhartha I hope that he bonds with the shrooms and fells a little happier in his new home

The water test are all good still so now the waiting game to see if it all stays stable. I hope that the clown will bond with the shrooms.

Here is the update added firefish and two new shrooms and the first shrooms have really opened up. The water is stable and the test come out perfect

Sid did not make it :cryinga: so i rearanged the rock and got a new guy today that has been at the store for over 2 weeks a black percula eating like a champ and healthy and a leather coral.

He was labeled a black ocellaris though after looking closer at his body and head he is a percula they also had a black clarki marked as an ocellaris. And thanks he is a great fish :D
