:welcome to Nanotank.

first i'd like to say be patient because when you ask for a lot of advice your usually going to get it. and in this hobby that means a lot of differing opinions. some based on research, some based on experience and some on hearsay. be careful and get multiple opinions before making a decision. If your goal is to have 2 clowns an a Goby you should probably get a bigger tank than 9 gallons. Marine Fish like to swim a lot and need a lot more room than fresh water fish. Also Clowns get very territorial and might not get a long with the Goby. so a little more space can create a more peaceful environment.

Read up on Cycling a tank. Do a few google searches on starting up a new salt water tank. See what you find. Also hit up www.reefkeeping.com. This will give you good motivation and verying opinions and lots of facts. Go through the archives in Newbie Corner. There are at least 4 or 5 articles there that will help.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Yea, 9 gallons is far too small for even one clown, never mind 2! Good luck with the nano, it's a very fun and rewarding hobby. Stick around this forum, you'll find a lot of very helpful information here.
