Nanotank.com got hacked!

Sometime around 10:30 AM on Tuesday (4/27) someone hacked into our server space and/or FTP site. They apparently thought it would be fun to delete all my content, pictures and basically everything we had. Thankfully my host had a backup from the day before so two days later, everything is back up and running again.

Sorry for the inconvenience. I think all of the users are still registered and if anyone has any problems, just PM me and I will try to get things back to how they were.

If you had your tank featured in our gallery, I would urge you to please repost it for all to see.

I've made some great strides in protecting the site from this happening again so let's just move on. Its unfortunate that someone would actually do this kind of thing for 'fun'. [-(

I really hate people who think destruction is "cool". Anyway, I'm glad the site is back up. I want to see it continue to grow. Thank you DJConn for all your hard work.

Glad to see it's back up. I was hacked as well, although I rarely use my site so I was surprised when they sent me an email saying "We've restored your site." And I was going...WTF is this guy talkin' aboot?

Webstrikes does a good job and there are just some assholes out there.

Yeah, I noticed lots of my posts are gone... glad to see you were able to recover most of your stuff - it's obvious you've put a lot of work into the site!
