this is my 1st saltwater 12 gallon nanocube....I am familiar with tropical fish...I already have liverock, sand and 1 hardy damsel...Just wanted to know what would be the next step? Live coral? I would like a clown fish and a fire angelfish...Can Clowns,Damsels, and fire anglefish co-exist? how many small fish for a 12 gallon nanocube? Im thinking 3 to 5...I know I have a lot of questions, but I am excited....this tank is really cool

thanks all,

Scott

Hi Scott welcome

1st please take the damsel back and dont cycle the tank with a fish .
2nd coral should be added after the tank has been established for 3 months or longer ,(others may disagree here on when to add coral) what kind of lighting do you have what kind of filter do you have? what are your water perameters
I would place no more than 3 or maybe 4 fish in that is only if you keep up with water changes , it is good to ask questions but take it slow , you will get the most
reward by going slow ( and it wont hurt the wallet as bad  ) angel fish can get really big what we have in our tank is 2 clowns and 1 purple pseudochromis . Damsels can clowns can coexist but damesels can turn on them causing you to want to get rid of it they are mean and territorial a pretty fish if that is all you keep you might add a damsel last so that the other fish can set up territory 1st . I am sure that others with more experience will also help ya out on the set up

I'm guessing you mean a flame angel. A nano cube is too small for any species of angel, so it's not a good idea reguardless. If you're talking about firefish, they're perfect for a nano cube. Clowns are good. I'd get rid of the damsel if I were you, like sadielynn mentioned they are all very territorial/agressive fish. They may be fine when they're small, but as they get larger they nearly always start attacking other fish.
