Nanocube 24 DX - Cooling

Hi all,

I'm trying to normalize the temperature fluctuations of this cube. Yesterday it bumped up to 83 degrees. I'm trying to keep it around 77-81, but this is rather erratic. Anyone have any ideas to keep this thing cooler? I've looked at chillers, but don't really want to go down that road if I can avoid it. I'm trying to figure out optimal light time to a) enjoy the tank and b) to keep it cooler. Maybe like starting it later in the day or something. Any ideas are appreciated.

what i do on mind when is summer or always i leave the small lid open during the day and at night close that makes my tank be stable and also cause i have mine in timer... on between 2pm to 9pm and then is off the other hours. except in the mornings that i turn them on at 7-8am just to see them before i leave so thats the way my timer is... and my temperature is always 79.3 - 80.2... open the lid works for me lets see what the other guys have to say...

If the room it is located in has temperature fluctuations throughout the day it will be very hard to control your temperature. If the room gets warmer during the day you could try having the lights on in the evenings instead of the middle of the day. Upgrading the cooling fans may also be a solution to the heating problem.
