nano issue of Coral magazine.

For the Houston members I thought I'd mention that I saw a copy of the Coral Magazine that focused on nanos for sale at what used to be Neptunes Garden on 45S. This issue was the 1st or 2nd issue, and is out of print now. It was on the wall next to the register and they wanted $10 for it. Here's their address/phone number.

Cool and thanks for the heads up. That place is right near my office so I'll prob. go pick it up tomorrow.

Why did you say used to be Neptunes? Are they going out of business or what?

The old owner sold it to one of his employees. The sign no longer says Neptunes. Which is why I called it the store that used to be neptunes. The new guy got a LOT of suggestions from the local Houston reef club, and seems to be trying to get a bit more saltwater stuff in with more reasonable prices than the store has had in the past. I was in there Sunday, and I didn't see a single bargain, some things were still overpriced, and a few were about the same as the rest of the stores in town. Even the overpriced items were only about 1/3 higher than they should have been as opposed to twice what everyone else in town is charging. (excluding aquarium world)
He seems to be making an effort so I didn't mind throwing a few extra bucks his way. Heck just buying the store had to be expensive so I don't really expect the prices to get in line with the rest overnight. I'm hoping that in about 6-9 months he'll be very competitive.

Finally swung by there and purchased the #2 issue of CORAL magazine focused on nano tanks. Looks pretty nice. Cover price was $6.95 but he was asking $10. No worries though as I'm sure its hard to find.

They guy I was talking to said they are getting a new shipment of corals in tomorrow around lunchtime (10/8) if anyone is interested.
