Welcome Roodee,

Your rock formation is great, sort of reminds me of skull mountain from Winnie the pooh; I think you have lots of neat spots to place corals and for critters to hide.

Good job on the reef building, that sets the theme of the tank...

lol. Skull mountain, I guess I've watched Pooh one too many times with the kids. I wanted lots of caverns and hidey-holes for the fishies to play/hide in. Someday I'll have fish to evaluate the design. I was thinking of adding a bit more, but I'm still on the fence.

I thnk it looks good...I wouldnt suggest adding any more. The reason being that you will slowly add LR every time you put a coral in (usually due to the fact that they are generally anchored to a small piece of rock.

Good job with the aquascaping.
The LR formation will give you plenty of space for coral placement and interesting caves for your fish to hide.
Keep up the good work.

I too really like the aquascaping, leaves alot of room for being creative when you add new corals!

Mike, this sounded like you might just be researching nursery themes? Something you aren't telling us deary?

Woo hooo! Looks awesome! Can't wait to see more pictures as your tank matures :) how did you take such clear images? I tried taking pics of my tank but the images didn't come out so well.. also... how do we post pics?

Well, I use autofocus so that probably helps clarity, but for everything else I use manual shutter speed, aperture and white balance to give me a "proper" exposure. Of course, I could give you my settings, but things like lighting, distance from target will all affect how useable they would be for you. If you're serious about taking good exposures there is an excellent book called "Understanding Exposure" that will go a long way to helping take good and even great pictures (with practice).
