Thanks for the kind words Eddie. It was a pleasure showing you a little bit of my stomping grounds... Reef Collection is working its way into my #1 favorite LFS choice. Really look forward to seeing those zoas in your tank...its always neat seeing corals that were once in you tank now inhabiting someone elses tank. As for the snails, they were released into the tank and immediatly buried into the sand...I'll see them next time I feed my brain and candies!!

Skip, these florida's are pretty common...price is usually $15-$30 a head for this variation, but I have seen them go up to $150+ per head for other colorations.

It is a nice ric...it actually has two mouths. Here is a better pic of the new addition...

Jesse,

You got one gorgeous florida ric, they are very hardy and do well. I have kept mine since I first got the 12 gallon cube and then they are in my 72 gallon.

One caution,
I had three really nice rics together and then one day in the 72 they stared to develop the second mouth and then it tried to split but I didn't keep a good eye on them.

One ric transfered to my main life rock and is gorgeous, very healty while the other two fell to the sand bed with the rock they were on and they died.

Make sure you keep an eye on yours.... because I wouldn't want that to happen to you like it did me....

Jesse, here is a pic when they were three...

Jesse,

I love your tank, dude I'm serious if ever I were to commit a crime; I would sneak into your house find your tank and rob all your corals and take them up to the Bay Area and place them in my 72 gallon...

I would be the only nutball doing hard time for taking someone prize corals....

You are extremely selective with your items just like me...

Every time you post a picture I'm there dude..... Admiring what you just dropped in, I too look forward to all your post... Trust me on that....

Oh yeah, make sure you place a mini lock on that tank... hehehe

P.S
You are really making your live rock become deep purple, love that live rock of yours !!!!!

Great pics. What do you feed your Florida ricordia? I have one of those in my tanks. I've had about a year, but its shrunk a lot since I got it, and think its because its not getting enough food, and what lightning do those require? Mine moved in to a small cavern under some live rock. I don't think its getting enought light right now either, but I hate to stress it by detaching it from the large rock (largest in the tank) that its currently attached too. I can't move the rock its attached too because its a large plate rock that is the base to the smaller pieces.

Make sure that your ric is not in an area of high flow...they prefer lower flow areas. I feed my tank phytoplex and chromaplex once a week, switching between the two every week. I have also recently started feeding cyclopeeze as well.

HTH,

Jesse
