First off I went there to buy instant ocean salt. The lady had that and 2 other brands that I've never heard of. IO cost $19, she recomended marine environment which cost $21. She said that it decholrinates tap water and it has essintial supplements for reefs. Well I bought the marine environment salt and now I realize that I should of went with the IO. I dont even know how much salt to mix, the instructions don't say anything. Another thing is the receipt says " NO WARRANTY ON LIVE STOCK!!! WE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO INSURE THEY ARE HEALTHY BEFORE WE SELL THEM" First off I say dead coral, dead inverts, and some fish look like they have crap growing on them. Very healthy huh!

Well, i would NEVER suggest using raw tap water anyways, even if it DOES dechlorinate. Many people have success with the IO...usually it is 1/2 cup salt per gallon...this may vary.

Hardly any fish store will guarantee saltwater fish, 99% wont guarantee corals...

Where are you located? which LFS do you go to?

p.s. I have never heard of that Marine Environment brand.

Jesse

p.p.s...Io make a line called Reef Crystals... I have heard very good stuff about it.
