My first nano....a year later...

Zero Impact

Well its been a exhilarating but sad year. I have learned...and killed a few in the past year. Built and bought my way through it. My once 2.5 mini has grown and shrank finally becoming a home made contraption. A 5 gallon mini with a 2.5 mini as a sump, and a cut down 5 gallon hex front as a fuge. Painted, drilled, plumbed, and even a retro on the hoods. There are a few more mods I want to do with it though. But it is up and running and I do have quite a few frags going with a blue damsel. My biggest loss was the late Theo..."aquacultured clown". "I think he took a beating from old blue in a 10gal that everything was in." 2 peppermint shrimp, 7 or so snails, 10 or so hermits, and maybe some bristle stars...Within the year I have had a problem with red cyano, due to no fuge. I have also aquired enough live rock to start my next project. A 55gal with a 29gal fuge and a 10gal sump. I have everything I need to do this except a hood and a stand. I want to build a hood and a stand out of some kind of granite. SWEET! Hint hint to anyone that is a mason... all I need is raw rock. will cut and polish myself. So with this reply...carry on fellow reefers!
