I tried to introduce a bubble tipped anemone to my fish tank, it tried to attach itself to the rock several times.. but keep failing and fell off.
When added it to the tank, it wouldn't sink and keep floating, I used a clean rubber glove and tried to help it attach.
It moved and attached for a while, but as soon as I turned on the air pump/airstone, it shrinked and closed itself and dettached from the rock.
I tried to turn off air pump and let it attach, and whenever it attached it would fall off again..
The next day it shrinked and became very wrinkled, and sunk to the bottom. I tried to put it on a rock again and its not moving at all.
Is the anemone dead? When I got it from the LFS, I touched their tank and its very cold and my tank is a lot warmer, 25c.
Is there a problem with my rock temperature? Or is the air bubble disturbing it so it wouldn't attach?
I removed it and placed it in another tank today to prevent it nuking my fish.
I want to put an anemone in the tank for my clown cause it seems very depressed. (sunk at the bottom and not swimming much). Any help appreciated.
