i do a bunch of woodworking for work. you might be able to get away with soaking the wood of choice in warm-hot water. what youll want to do is get a piece of wood three feet or more (longer the easier it will be to bend). soak it how ever you can. i have used a tarp with a couple other pieces of wood to make a mold to hold the tarp. place the wood on the tarp and fill with warm water and let soak over nite. then youll want to use two racket straps, one on the top and one on the bottom, streched from one end to the other. tighten up the straps until desired curve then let dry for a couple of days. take the rachet straps off and the wood should stay in a curve. cut to fit. i have done this a bunch of times with moldings and curved hallways where the plywood had to be curved to fit. good luck. patience is key.
