MB7 warning

I just wanted to put this out there for people to be warned ...Our mini bow 7 has developed a small leak , which will progressivly get worse , when I spoke to our pet store that use to carry them they stated that this is why they quit , for me to get another will require a trip but the worse part is is that AGA will not replace it or work with us , there warranty on the bow front tanks is marginal at best , so when you maintince your tank check ALL seams for leaks , we have not ever moved it with h20 so we dont know why the leak , for now I will patch it with a silicone sealer and if that doesnt work duck tape till I find a new MB7 tank to put in in place of it and test it for leaks as of now I am holding my breath that it doesnt get too much worse .........as it stands now I may not replace with a mb7 but something else I am not sure as to which way I may have to go wow what a head ache ..... so every one with an AGA tank check your seals especially a bow front ...

Sorry to hear about your problems and good luck with finding a solution. It seems to me that most tank problems I have heard about involve some kind of tank with either rounded corners or a curved glass, I wonder if maybe the manufacturers need to rethink their tank building methods a little bit and put more care into the manufacture of curved glass tanks. sadielynn,

I am so sorry to hear about the leak in your tank. How awful! I hope you can resolve the issue somehow (setting up a new tank, most likely) without too much stress. I'm glad you caught it early and that it wasn't worse. Good luck and keep us posted...

If you aren't using the hood find a JEBO tank. I threw out my filter and light and replaced it all. I just like the way the tank is. No seams.

I am working with AGA but they are pains in the asses they say that the leak may self seal or not either way I am not gonna chance it .... I am looking at probably a week or greater to get the stuff to replace it so DUCK tape it is   I am not sure on how to doctor it other than some superglue or some silicone oh btw they ask me if I could fix it my self not real supportive if you ask me I will post on this once I know which way this is going to go wether it will be replaced with an AGA tank or something other . Leaf does jebo do a 7gallon tank :?:
