thanks sugar but I am now leaning to it being
Brooklynellosis I ended up changing 5 gallons out and
getting the spg to 1.019 last nite but upon further research
found that I quite possibly is Brooklynellosis

I went ahead and did a fresh water dip with distilled h20 and did it in succession at 1 minute at a time when I looked at them the spots seem to have disappeared so I am assuming that it was ich and that bringing down the spg to the 1.009 -1.015 should help in getting rid of it I am glad that I dont have to treat with chemicals such as formalin so I the purple pseudo has no signs but getting him out with out a major project is impossible so he will be treated with the lower spg

I have to say I have never been a fan of hyposalinity just for the fact that it creates more stress on the fish (at least this is my belief). However, there have been TONS of people that have done this without any issues or problems.

I will say that I did this with a coral that had red bugs. Did quite a few dips to the point the coral was purple and turned white. It resolved the issue and the coral has since colored up to like 4 different colors. My best piece in my tank.

Glad things are working out for you.

I dont think that the one clown fish is gonna make it so tonite I am gonna try to get the spg to about 1.019 then raise it from there but because of some coral I have to get it up a little or risk loosing all of em I was hoping to participate in the frag area but now I wont I dont want to jepordize anyones tank . I know that with time I can beat the little buggers but its time that I need as for being active one clown is the purple pseudo is fine with no signs of stress the active clown has some poor color the other clown has good color but is obviously stressed :???:

Hope things turn out for the better. Clowns are pretty resiliant. Dunno at this point tho but good luck!

now that I bumped it up to 1.019 the clown fish is doing better but if he pulls through to nite chances are he'll make it I hope he was not tolorating the low spg I guess we'll see tomorrow I have never had much luck with clowns with all the changes in h20 its like all the water is fresh like 100% h20 with the changes so now it is set and wait

I got the spg up to 1.019 and have started garlic in their food to try
to save the remaing 2 fish I am hoping that having the spg at 1.019 will
help to battle the ich I just cant figure out why I cant keep clowns
I think that if the remaining clown doesnt make it I will let the tank go for a while with out clowns then try a clarkii or black percula but I will wait a month or so before adding any more clowns . the purple pseduo is acting weird but that may be because of the drop and raise in spg :?: any way I hope that because of this experience that some one out there may learn from what is happening to us
putting it on this site also helps me document and remember what happened and
what I did so that I can learn too ,my favorite clown is my clarkii in the 2.5 gallon tank so he may get moved down stairs after the "dust" has setteled and the tank is once again stable he may even get a mate , but only in about 1 month and probably even 2 months to allow every thing to settle
I guess it is back to the basics of slow go and wait
