LPS ?

Got a question about LPS.

Do candy canes (in particular) share nutrients? For example, pylops and zoa's are connected via a matt and can share nutrients, thus if one eats they all benefit. Is this the same for LPS? I just got a red candycane with 10 heads, some of which are showing some recessing heads, what I wanted to know is that if the healthy heads are eating, does that benefit the ones that are receding?

I do know they are extremely hardy. I have a colony of 7 heads and have only lost one bud. I have dropped it in the tank, I have banged it against the glass and the most damage was when the frog and torch burned it.

But it all came back, it's in my new starter tank of just LPS.

My understanding is that they only share nutrients if the tissue is connected. If the tisse of one head is only connected to the skeleton, but not the tissue of the surrounding heads then it's not sharing. But I could certainly be wrong, and/or it could differ between different types of candy cane. I'm sure it's different for differering species of LPS.
