Loss of a gold goby, gain of a brain?

Hey people...

Looks like ol Gold Goby started to die on me...just stopped eating, losing weight, and today was on his death bed squirming around the tank upside down and simply suffering.

I was going to flush him today, but then figured.... "Hey!! My brain hasn't eaten, and can't let it go to waste, right?"

Of course not!! My loss was his gain! check out the animated Gif I made in Jasc Animation, lol. Originally I was going to do a sequence of pics, but in the end I made it into an animated gif instead :) Click on it and watch the animation begin.

Enjoy...

If that is the lifespan of the goby, then he lived his full life. Blue neon goby is just about the same age, but he's still eating.

The cherry head goby is big, fat and has grown. He's the boss of the tank, while the blue and the yellow were more like free spirited kids roaming around. When ol Cherry head croaks, I think I'll go with another Gold neon goby.

At least on the upside, I can say that there will be less nitrates in the water now :)

The yellow and the blue get along famously. It's the red headed goby that's the mean guy. Sometimes in death in the fishy world, the one that diserves death is the one that ends up living, doh!!

haha, Jar Jar isn't evil.....he's just more wild. He's real self cautious of his surroundings, but I found in Sandra's tank, the longer he matured in the tank, the more of a "softie" he became.

Steven, I love that brain. When I saw it in person I was very impressed. Cool animation, BTW.

I have another brain in my tank that came from Sandra's tank that never sold. it never opened in her tank much, but it does in mine...go figure.

It's a 3 head open brain, it's yours if you are interested. Green center, and red around. It also comes with a nice size brittle star that lives in the cracks of the shell. It's cool when it comes out, gets it food, then scutters back into the cracks of the shell.

I just got my first blasto from tongs, and I seem to have too much "red" going on, so that's why I'm offering to get rid of it, as it should look better and I'd have more room to make the blasto have plenty of space and be like the new centerpiece.
