Lighting upgrade for a NanoCube

I have been considering upgrading my lights on my NanoCube 12 DX from the stock pair of 28 watt PCs to four 28 watt PCs. If I do this I will be buying the kit from www.nanocustoms.com but I would like to hear someone opinion of the upgrade that has done so themselves. Is the upgrade a worthwhile investment? Should I consider going a different route? I plan to keep bright colored zoos mainly and want the best lighting to really make their colors stand out. TIA, Skip

Hi Skipm,

The upgrade at nanocustoms is beautiful in that you'd think it came from JBJ itself. Chris is the owner of nanocustoms and his work is the best.

I know this because upgraded two of my 12 gallon cubes with his lights.

What questions do you have in specific that I may answer for you?

Mike

I am mostly wanting to know if the 4.24 upgrade is enough light to bring out the brightest colors in my zoos or is there a better option. I have already contacted Chris and decided to buy the 4.24 kit and he recommended going with the pair of stock 50/50 bulbs and adding a pair of actinics. I am also curious if they actinics he sells are something special since they are price a bit higher than I can get actinics for other places. TIA, Skip
