Lighting problem

Alright. I have a 4X96 watt power compact. They are powered by two ballasts. There two sets of lights that turn on but aren't bright just how they should be? This just happened... The other set is fine firing up and turning on but this set just stays dim, it turns on but stays dim. Has anyone had this happen? Please help. Thanks

not sure - could be a number of things but first guess is a bad bulb - one of the two dim ones might be bad which could cause that. unfortunitly though it could also be the ballast. to trouble shoot it this is wha i would do
1) check all connections are dry and tight
2) change out one of the dim bulbs from the two that work and try that
3) still don't work - try the other good bulb
4) still don't work put both dim bulbs on the good ballast and try
5) this systematic approach should tell you if it is connection, bulbs, or ballast causing the issue.......

Yeah, I'm gonna order new bulbs but ther so expensive! If they work it'll pay off..... I say expensive cause it adds up....

troubleshoot it first though - will save you money if you find the problem and buying new bulbs won't help if its the ballast.......

Thanks for chipping in.

Johnanddawn,

I tried trouble shooting and no luck. The lights just stay dim? I ordered lights hopefully this will work! The two lights it came with seemed old. It looked as if the bulbs was fading physically. Well, see lets hope this works. Thanks again.
