Lighting - Mimic natural day pattern or turn it on 24hrs/day

I have an 80L tank with a 24 watt halide light. Should I turn it on 24 hours a day or just 12 hours a day? I have sea anemone and soft coral in the tank so I don't know what is best for them. Please help.

You need to give everything a rest for about 12-14 hours out of the day. SO it is suggested that you run your lights for about 10-12 hours per day.
