Lighting is the main restriction I see with this set-up. You will only be able to keep very low light corals or those that can live off of being target fed. Is there any way to add more light? Even if you add a second light like the one on the tank?

BTW, :welcome to the board. Even if you can't add any more light you should be able to keep a few low light corals and a couple of inverts to add some movement and interest to the tank.

Hi and :welcome to Nanotank! Looks like your off to a good start. What corals do plan to put in this tank? I agree with Skip, another 50/50 bulb should do you good.

yea i can get another bulb for it the same exact one.. but can you guys give me an idea of where i should put it?? maybe on the side of it or something. I planned on keepin mushroom, zoos, and xenias or something like that. another question that i got for you guys is do you dose your tank once you get corals in there?? i know some people do and some dont i just want a little idea about that from people that have been doing it for awhile..

If you play around withe elbows of the bulb/fixture, you might be able to put one right next to it. I stopped dosing my tank after 7 months. I just do weekly water changes now and run carbon. It does the job.

HTH :)

If you were to put a second light right next to the first you could extend the legs so it hung just in front of the first light, it doesn't appear that you have the legs extended at all in the light on your tank now.
