I think it only comes out at night. I've never seen it in the daytime

isnt he a SPIONID WORMS live in tubes, but rather than filter feeding like the dusters, they will grab larger food with their palps (the antenna-looking things). They are good scavengers. for more info..

It does look like a spionid worm. It's so awesome to keep finding hitchhikers on the live rock. That's another reason I spend a lot of time staring at the tank; There is always something new that I hadn't spotted before.

Yup! I think that's what it is too! If that's the case. I think I have two of them, I just noticed another one in my other rock. haha. that's pretty cool... I guess I wasn't staring at nothing after all!! I also just noticed little fragments of feather dusters. One is just barely attached to the rock, but the little guy is hanging on and just going with the flow... no really lol. haha ok.. forgive my attempt at humor lol. Oohh! maybe i'll get lucky and get zooanthids! lots and lots of multicolored ones! lol... yeah right.
