Below is a letter I received today from the chairman of IMAC, Dennis Gallagher. He has been nice enough to offer us a discounted registration to the conference.
Hi,
Did you know that IMAC (the International Marine Aquarium Conference) is only about 2 months away? IMAC will be held in Chicago June 24, 25 and 26th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. It features speakers like:
Dr. Martin Belli
Eric Borneman
Anthony Calfo
Bob Fenner
Jay Hemdal
Rocky Herman
Dr. Tim Hovanec
Michael Janes
Dr. Frank Marini
Martin Moe
Barry Neigut
Michael Del Prete
Steven Pro
Dr. Tom Sandercock
Gregory Schiemer
Henry C. Schultz
Dr. Ronald Shimek (2 different presentations)
Sandra Shoup
Julian Sprung
And Patrick Stoner
In addition to their presentations, Eric and Anthony will also present free fragging demos. FragExchange.org will also have almost continuous fragging demos at their booth and the frags will be given away free.
Registration for IMAC is currently $150 and going up to $175 next month but Nanotank.com members can register for just $125 for the next 2 weeks only, until April 30. And here is a bonus: Family members (spouse, fiancée, kids, etc. can attend IMAC FREE (except for the Banquet. Get them a Banquet ticket for $45 and they can get into everything.). Coupled with hotel room rates of just $93/nite plus tax, plus free airport/hotel transfers, it makes IMAC a deal hard to beat. And with the price wars now going on among some airlines, flying can be cheaper than driving.
But hurry! Last year the hotel filled up more than a month before the conference.
Your $125 registration covers the speaker presentations, the Meet-the-Speakers Reception, the Banquet, Big Trade Show and the Giant Raffle. You can’t get this rate through the website; you have to email Dennis Gallagher at [email protected] for instructions.
If you have never been to a big conference like IMAC before you can get a taste of what it is like on the website www.theimac.org . They have streaming videos of major portions of some of last year’s speakers:
