im moving!

okay guys-this is my current situation:

my ten gal hex tank is doing so perfect but as we know ----nothing always perfect

im am moving away from to my new place which is a few miles away from my current home.

i was just curious in knowing how should i go in behalf of moving the tank

i was thinking of just taking two gallons out and trying to just carrying the tank and put it in my van

what do you guys think? do you think i could crack the tank? too heavy?

It is my opinion not to ever move tanks with water/corals in them. Just too risky. Its actually really easy to move everything into a big cooler. Here is a post I made awhile back documenting moving 3 tanks:

I moved my 20 not to long ago. I put rocks in one ice chest and corals and fish in another. moved them first then took tank to new place. filled it back with half of the same water and half new. added rocks, corals, and fish. DOne!

I just moved my 18G and I emptied most of the water into 5G buckets and put the corals, rocks in the buckets as well. Just picked up the tank w/ 3 or so gallons left in it and moved it. Setting it back up was the hardest part IME.
