I was target feeding my zoa/paly/protopalys with mysis,cyclo and brine. I was noticing my protopalythoas can take five mysis but then again their as big as a quarter and as bigger than a half dollar with its skirts! I was amazed how fast and how much they can eat. Usually I just blow them with food and then go to the main tank. This time I just sat there and keep feeding until it closed all the way!
After feeding time was over I saw bristles come out looking for food. Hmmm, I had a skew stick and halfed one. It was only 1/4 a inch as I stabbed it. I saw the protopalythoas eat that much mysis how bout a 1/4 inch bristle? I stuck it a large size head and it took it! I was amazed... I kept watching thing it was going to release but nothing. So I left and an hour later I went back to the tank to keep looking. So I found an inch bristle :lol3: Lets push the limits... I stuck him into a large head and the bristle worm bristles were stuck out with a fight. The body was half way in but the bristle didn't want to die, so he got out. I picked him back up with the skew and gave him to the BIG DADDY! I stuck him in there but Big daddy only closed half way. I touched him gently two more times and then he closed up! WOW, I was sitting there for a minute waiting for a release due to the bristles! Its been 15 minutes and the head began opening up with no worm! I looked at the stock and the suckers pretty BIG (as round as my ring finger). I just looked back the the head closed back up? I hope none of you get offend on what I'm doing? And I hope this doesn't affect the protopalythoas health? We'll see?
