hydroids?

im scared, I think I must have hydroids, I can get a pic as they are to small, about a mm wide, little balls with several little arms with hands at the ends of the arms and they are stuck to the glass usually in clusters but some are scattered, theres also some scattered on my LR, theres also things that might be related to them as they appear very shortly before the hydroids, little string looking things with smaller hairs comming out of the tops and upper sides of them, also to small to photograph, both things are the same color, semitransparent white, are they bad and if so how do I get rid of them, what are their effects

In my experience, hydroids are completely harmless and just a natural part of your reef system. I've had them in all of my tanks at some point and I've never had anything bad come out of it.

I actually think they're kinda cool looking.

Yours look kind of like little snowflakes on the glass right?

yea I like them too and they are not causing problems, I thought all were bad, YEY I have a new pet(s)!

My little sisters almsot freaked when I told them I had squishy from finding nemo, lol, I just picked up a baby(3/4") true perc for my tank, they love it, im such a good brother, lol

That is awesome. Keep them involved...seriously. Its a lot easier when other family members are interested and it also provides someone to 'babysit' the tank when you're gone for awhile

I wish my younger brother was into tanks like me.

listen as soon as I mention nitrates, bacteria, pods, lighting, even just saying I like my new orange zoa's they are lost, I have to say the little orange round things, lol, ones a singer and dancer and the other is a jock, neither want to ahve anything to do with science, my dad said hes up for a lesson though so il try him, he might be able to understand it
