Some tips:

Depending on lighting, use a tripod. Can't be beat for stability, esp if taking vids.

Turn off flash-glass/acrylic will reflect

If digi-cam or high end SLR- swtich to macro mode, much better at taking images of objects close up.

Then if posting to net, post procdures such as cropping, resizing and adjusting resloution.

I just heard back from my web-programmer friend. He thinks the best resolution for webimages is 72DPI. You won't notice any difference on the screen in quality, but if you make a hard copy print, it'll look horrible.

So a good rule of thumb is to keep two copies of the image, the origional and one that has been cropped, resized and altered DPI for internet use. The webmaster will thank you as it'll make his server storage go further.

I'm going to toyaround with this and see if I can't make MS Paint work, since we all have this if running Winders 98/2000/XP.
